The D2D component of the AWIPS workstation is the primary user interface. D2D allows you to display and manipulate graphic and image products, work with gridded model data, and run interactive hydrometeorological applications.

Section 2.1 Getting Started, provides the information needed to start, set up, and exit D2D. It also gives a brief introduction to D2D and includes a practice module that covers this information. The topics covered in Section 2.1 are addressed in more detail in later sections. Section 2.2 Working With Graphic and Image Products, contains several practice modules that illustrate basic display capabilities. The Image Colors Editor, used to work with color enhancement curves, is covered in Section 2.3. Pop-up Menus, which contain numerous display manipulation options, are discussed in Section 2.4. Section 2.5 Procedures, provides details about this macro-like feature, which comprises user-generated lists of graphics and/or image products.
