4.1.2 Beginning Text Modules

This module starts you off in your use of the Text Display as shown in Exhibit 4.1.2-1.

Objective 1 - Start the Text Display

1. In the Account Box of the Login Window, type "textdemo". The account and password are case-sensitive, so do not use upper case.

2. In the Password Box, type the password.

When the Text Display completes it starts up, three windows are displayed:

• The Text Workstation Control dialog box

• Text 1 window

• The Monitoring Controller dialog box

If the Text Workstation Control Dialog Box is not visible on the Text Display, you can open it by pressing Mouse Button 3. This brings up the Root Menu from which you can select "Start TextWS."

Objective 2 - Set User ID

This objective shows you how to set your User ID.

1. From the Text Workstation Control Dialog Box, open the File pull-down menu and Select User ID.

2. From the dialog box that appears, select your name and then click the Ok Button. If your name is not on the list, notify your site manager. You can use another ID temporarily.

Objective 3 - Exiting the Text Display

1. Open the File pull-down menu from the Text Workstation Control Dialog Box and select Exit.

2. In the Verification Dialog Box, answer Yes. The Text Display Windows clear from the screen.
